The pavilion accommodates fortuitously discovered “figures, ” fashioned from natural and discarded materials by Berlin artist Eva Koethen, in expanded pictorial spaces composed of paintings and colored fields. Views through the display window and the varied perspectives generated by circling the life-sized figures lead to astonishing discoveries. These
embodiments of “serendipity” emerge within the flow of urban attentiveness.
