Small sized portraits, modeled and formed by hand and thereby based on cell phone photos – these are SELFIESANALOGUE.
In this increasingly digital age, these sculptures set an analogue counterpoint. The small sized format allows the artist to approach his counterpart in a very playful way. Because that is exactly what a portrait in art should try to achieve: to come as close as possible to the essence of a person.
Marcus Golter lives and works as a sculptor in Potsdam.

Kleine Porträts, nach Handy – Fotos mit der Hand modelliert – das sind die SELFIESANALOG.
In dieser immer digitaler werdenden Zeit setzen diese Figuren einen analogen Kontrapunkt. Das kleine Format erlaubt es dem Künstler, sich in spielerischer Art und Weise empathisch seinem Gegenüber anzunähern. Denn genau das soll ein Porträt in der Kunst versuchen: dem Wesen eines Menschen möglichst nahe zu kommen.
Marcus Golter lebt und arbeitet als Bildhauer in Potsdam.
