The artist Murat Haschu is at home in many artistic disciplines and uses his varied talents to shed light on large topics in their entirety. He combines graphic art, painting, textile art, animation, and video.

For the A TRANS showcase at U-Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten Berlin, an installation comes together made of tufted tapestries and a black and white animation – a type of graffiti wall with image and text messages woven in wool. Current political topics become subtle and ironic, therein negotiating such things as climate change or information overload. Murat Haschu refers us to a decision between our imaginations running wild or the Way of the Samurai.

Murat Haschu (born in Nalchik, Russia) studied painting and graphic arts at the Art Academy Vladikavkaz /North Caucasus, as well as textile art and media art at Burg Giebichenstein, University of Art and Design in Halle (Saale), where he currently lives and works.

Der Künstler Murat Haschu ist in mehreren Disziplinen zuhause und nutzt sein vielseitiges Können, große Themenfelder ganzheitlich zu beleuchten. Er verbindet Grafik, Malerei, Webkunst, Animation und Video.

Für die A TRANS-Vitrine im U-Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten Berlin, entsteht eine Installation aus getufteten Bildteppichen und einer Animation in Schwarz-Weiß, eine Art Graffiti-Wand mit Bild- und Textbotschaften gewebt aus Wolle. Subtil ironisch werden aktuelle politische Themen wie Klimawandel oder Medienüberflutung darin verhandelt. Murat Haschu verweist uns auf die Wahlmöglichkeit zwischen Kopfkino und dem Weg des Samurai.

Murat Haschu (geboren in Naltschik, Russland) studierte Malerei und Grafik an der Kunsthochschule Vladikavkaz /Nord Kaukasus, sowie Textilkunst und Medienkunst an der Burg Giebichenstein, Hochschule für Kunst und Design in Halle (Saale), wo er auch derzeit lebt und arbeitet.
