A trans offers a public forum for contemporary discourse and research into cultural paradigms, contemporary lifestyles, and new experimental tendencies in urban practices and identities.

The word iconic referred since the 17^th century to a picture, it’s representation, or a portrait.

Panos Balomenos presents a series of 4 paintings that aim to comment on the hysterical and constant presence of one-self on social media. Each portrait response to a perfectly filtered and immaculate, though fake and inhuman, world.

Panos Balomenos lives and works as an artist between Helsinki, Finland and Athens, Greece

A trans bietet ein öffentliches Forum für aktuelle Diskurse und die Erforschung kultureller Paradigmen, zeitgenössischer Lifestyles und neuer experimenteller Tendenzen urbaner Praktiken und Identitäten.

Der Begriff iconic bezieht sich bereits seit dem 17 Jh. auf ein Bild, seine Darstellung oder ein Porträt.

Panos Balomenos zeigt eine Serie von vier Arbeiten, die sich auf die hysterische und konstante Anwesenheit von unseres Ichs in den sozialen Medien beziehen. Jedes Portrait ist eine Reaktion auf die perfekt gefilterte und makelose wenngleich falsche und ummenschliche Welt.

Panos Balomenos lebt und arbeitet als Künstler in Helsinki / FI und Athen /GR.
