Three Berlin project spaces each present a radically abstract artistic position that is characterized in different ways by chance and process.

Ellinor Euler’s art practice combines architecture and sculpture, exploring the interplay of form, light and space. The transformation of geometric forms into semi-transparent, three-dimensional drawings results in interactive, expanding spatial installations. The environment conceived for this location gains an additional level through the expansion of artefacts across wall and floor surfaces.

Sally Osborn’s objects combine to form reliefs, assemblages in space: „The ceramic sculptures are made in response to the gallery space. In the studio, clay is pressed together and pressed upon, this action allows for a certain amount of jeopardy to be incorporated into the material process. Chance allows spaces to form and positions to be questioned”. (S.O.)

AStoyke’s artistic practice combines different media: abstract drawing, sound and ceramics. The gesture becomes a sign and a medium. Religious voodoo rituals and neuronal processes of memory become the subject of images just as much as the seemingly every day. “I observe, abstract and deconstruct apparent reality, attempting to uncover the hidden and translate this information into my own aesthetic language. (…) My works are traces of an inner dialogue – approaches to that which eludes language”. (A.S.)

Drei Berliner Projekträume präsentieren jeweils eine radikal abstrakte künstlerische Position, die auf unterschiedliche Weise von Zufall und Prozess geprägt ist.

Ellinor Eulers künstlerische Praxis verbindet Architektur und Skulptur, wobei das Zusammenspiel von Form, Licht und Raum erforscht wird. Aus der Verwandlung geometrischer Formen in halbtransparente, dreidimensionale Zeichnungen entstehen interaktive, sich erweiternde Rauminstallationen. Das für diesen Ort konzipierte Environment gewinnt mittels der Ausdehnung durch Artefakte über Wand- und Bodenflächen eine zusätzliche Ebene hinzu.

Sally Osborns Objekte fügen sich zu Reliefs, Assemblagen im Raum: „Die keramischen Skulpturen entstehen als Reaktion auf den Galerieraum. Im Atelier wird Ton auf verschiedene Weise zusammengepresst, wodurch ein gewisses Maß an Risiko in den Materialprozess einfließt. Der Zufall lässt Räume entstehen und Positionen werden in Frage gestellt.“ (S.O.)

A Stoykes künstlerische Praxis vereint unterschiedliche Medien: abstrakte Zeichnung, Klang und Keramik. Die Geste wird zum Zeichen und Medium. Religiöse Voodoo-Rituale und neuronale Prozesse der Erinnerung werden ebenso Bildthema wie das scheinbar Alltägliche: „Ich beobachte, abstrahiere und dekonstruiere die scheinbare Realität und versuche, das Verborgene aufzudecken und diese Informationen in meine eigene ästhetische Sprache zu übersetzen. (…) Meine Arbeiten sind Spuren eines inneren Dialogs – Annäherungen an das, was sich der Sprache entzieht“. (A.S.)
